In 2012, Patrick and Teresa each lost a parent. Teresa’s fathered passed away in June and Patrick’s mother in August. Looking to bring some joy in their lives, they decided to create a short documentary about Christmas in Grand Rapids that same year. With an assist from several friends, they released a 12-minute video on Facebook before December 25. In days, the short had 1000’s of views and twice as many fans. Eventually, they created a full-length TV episode to air on WOOD TV8 and WOTV4. The show was presented for five years on TV and garnered rave reviews and high ratings.
